Training for the ascent….


Meet up at concession stand (or on the steps if your late) 6am Sunday.  I plan on working my quads and getting my VO2max up to par for 14000feet.  Most likely 60-90minutes or 20 flights.  Prep to sweat and get real short of breath (at least on the up climb).  We should be getting used to pushing our lactic acid tolerance and learning how to vent/pace to not overheat.  Everyone has a different pace BUT you won’t feel alone as on Sundays (even at 6am) there are a lot of people stair stepping.  Walking stick training a must before we leave for Colorado (or anyone else just looking to burn more calories).  

I will be shooting video on Acute Mountain Sickness….so will need some volunteers (just kidding)
